Unfortunately I cannot use the upgraded idler arm bushing from Kdl Automotive Turns out the type 3 idler arm mount is higher than the type 2 I used while making the DC/DC support.
Plan B for the Volvo Amazon idler arm: rebuild type 2 with new bushings. Did not realise I need a reamer though.
Thought to take a shortcut and order an already rebuild idler arm. Huh? Center rod not level? Thanks to Ben for helping identifying the root cause: the shop provided me with an idler arm for a P210 / PV
Back to the previous plan: rebuild my own idler arm. Went to Jansen Restorations but the only reamer they did not have was the one I needed. Well at least the bushings are in, thanks Dirk.
Ended up buying an second hand set of Hunger reamers at a friendly price. Did the job perfectly so the rebuild idler arm is in!
