Thank you all for the warm and overwhelming responses. I never realized my project inspired so many people.
At the moment I don’t know how/why it happened and can only guess. I am trying to park that question for now. Good news is the car will be brought home. My parents dropped off our Volvo 940 at the recovery service who just delivered it here in Sweden.
We will resume our offline travels.
Later I will investigate and share findings, thoughts and theories on what caused the fire. The same goes for the question “what will happen next?”

Ps. For those who missed the previous post: our electric Volvo Amazon wagon spontaneously caught fire when it was parked (not charging).
